Terms of service

1 · What PitchPandas is
A platform for finding and attending startup-community events in Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula — and for building a verified record of the events you actually turned up to.
What it is not, so there is no confusion: not a video-conferencing service, not a messaging service, not a jobs board, not an investor-matching service, and not a payment processor. PitchPandas takes no money from anybody.
2 · Your account
Your verified email address is your account. You sign in with a one-time code sent to it, or with Google — there is no password. A phone number is optional contact detail; nothing requires one.
You agree that:
- The email address is yours.
- You will not create an account for somebody else, or let somebody else use yours. The platform’s entire value is that an attendee is a real person.
- You will keep your profile accurate — not because we say so, but because other people decide whether to meet you based on it.
One person, one account. If you somehow end up with two, tell us and we will sort it out.
3 · Registering for events
Registering is a commitment to attend, and PitchPandas is built around that being true.
- You may cancel. Cancelling early is materially different from cancelling late, and both are recorded.
- Some events ask you to reconfirm shortly beforehand. Ignore it and your spot may be released to somebody else.
- Not turning up without cancelling is recorded as a no-show, and temporarily reduces how many events you can hold a spot at simultaneously.
- Your QR ticket is yours. Do not share it: somebody else scanning it puts attendance on your record, for an event you did not attend.
Events are run by their organizers, not by PitchPandas.
4 · Your reliability record
By using PitchPandas you accept that your attendance at events you register for is recorded, and that a summary label derived from it — never a score — is visible to organizers of events you register for.
You are entitled to see your own record in full, to know why an entry exists, and to ask for a correction. A correction is added as a new entry with a reason and the person who made it — history is never quietly rewritten, and a correction can never mark you as scan-verified, which is what stops a record being manufactured. The privacy policy describes the record in detail.
5 · What you post
You keep ownership of what you write; by posting you let PitchPandas display it. Discussion threads are public, on purpose.
Posting is earned, not given: you can only start a discussion about an event you were actually scanned into.
Moderation hides rather than deletes. Hidden content stops being visible, and every moderation action is recorded permanently — who, what, why, when — in a record nobody can edit, including us. There is currently no way to delete your own post; if something needs to come down, ask us and a moderator can hide it.
6 · What you may not do
- Create accounts for people who do not exist, or for other people.
- Use a QR code that is not yours, or help somebody check in who is not there.
- Scrape, bulk-collect or resell other people’s profiles or attendance.
- Try to reach data you are not entitled to, or probe the platform’s security without asking us first — write to team@pitchpandas.com and we will listen.
- Automate the service in a way that degrades it for other people.
7 · Organizers
Running events on PitchPandas carries additional obligations, particularly about attendee data: an organizer may use what attendees share only to run their event — never to build a mailing list, never to sell. Full organizer terms will be published separately.
8 · Availability
PitchPandas is a young product run by a very small team. There will be outages. The door scanner is deliberately built to keep working offline when the venue’s wifi does not — but nothing on this page is a promise of uninterrupted service.
9 · Your data
How personal data is collected, used, shown and deleted is the privacy policy’s job.
10 · Ending it
You may stop using PitchPandas at any time, and you may ask us to delete your account. Deletion is real but not total — identifying details are erased and the attendance ledger is kept without your identity in it. The privacy policy describes exactly how it works.
11 · Complaints
Write to Pitch at team@pitchpandas.com, or use the contact form. Data-protection grievances are described in the privacy policy.
12 · Changes
When these terms change, this page changes and the date at the top moves.
Published 31 Aug 2026 on the founder’s authority, in plain language, ahead of formal legal review. A counsel-reviewed version will replace this page and add the formal clauses this one deliberately omits — governing law, limitation of liability, arbitration and the rest. Until then, nothing on this page claims more than the product actually does.
